As a trusted financial partner for 74 years, we have always been committed to elevating the financial well-being of our Members, team members, and communities. Rooted in the credit union philosophy of people helping people, our purpose is: to inspire hope and elevate the financial well-being of our community, one person at a time, in good times and bad. It’s a constant reminder of why we do what we do, and it reinforces our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others by inspiring hope—words you don’t often hear from a financial institution. But hope is important because it is what motivates us to continue to ensure we are stable and secure for you in the future by achieving strong financial performance, maintaining highly engaged employees, and providing exceptional service to you, our Member owners.
Last year, we continued to embrace every interaction as an opportunity to deepen our connections as well as our overall impact. There were some big, obvious moments you may have read about in the news, such as our Day of Impact where we built and donated 418 bikes for children. Equally important were the thousands of quiet moments where we partnered with our Members to provide affordable products, services and solutions that helped them pay off debt, afford a new and dependable vehicle, or purchase their first home. Whatever unique situation you face, we are here to help you achieve your financial goals and dreams.
Focused on serving your best interests, we also improved security and convenience through strong technology so you can access the banking options you want and need, no matter where you are. To achieve this, we invested in a new online and mobile banking system that will enhance our capabilities for years to come. Change is never easy, but we listened to you − our Members − in order to provide the benefits and tools you’ve asked for, including improved security, easier payments and transfers, consistency between devices, and personal finance tools to help support and encourage better personal finance habits.
Lastly, for the 18th year in a row, RCU was named a Best Place to Work in the North Bay. We’re one of only four North Bay companies to receive this distinction every year since it started. This is the award I’m most proud of every year, because providing our team with a job they love means they can provide you with exceptional service, support, and solutions, every day.
It’s an honor to serve, and on behalf of every team member, I thank you for choosing Redwood Credit Union as your trusted financial partner.
